The event will close with a series of unique behind the scenes presentations by winners of the 2010 Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition (winners names to be announced on 21 October 2010).

An Unforgettable Evening with David Doubilet, Michael AW and Leandro Blanco.
Monday 25 October 2010 at 7.00 for 7.15 p.m.
Huxley Theatre, Zoological Society of London, London Zoo.
On Monday 25 October 2010, at the prestigious home of the Zoological Society of London, London Zoo, a conservation zoo since 1826, we are honoured to present David Doubilet and friends at ‘An Unforgettable Evening’ organised by Ocean Geographic Society and the British Society of Underwater Photographers. |
David Doubilet stands out in the world of underwater photography as a unique and exceptional artist. Long before underwater photography became as accessible as it is today, some innate calling inspired David, born in New York in 1946, to put a Brownie camera into a plastic bag and take it below the cold, green waters of the New Jersey coastline at just 12 years old.
Now, after decades of inspirational image-making around the globe, David is still at the top of his profession having created, among many other achievements, more than 60 stories for National Geographic magazine. |
