BSoUP - 41st Year

BSoUP was founded in November 1967 by Peter Scoones and Colin Doeg.

BSoUP is the largest underwater photographic society in Britain, catering for both film and digital photographers.

BSoUP is a not-for-profit organisation, run entirely by volunteers with a passion for underwater photography.

BSoUP holds meetings at the Holland Club, Imperial College, South Kensington, London, on the third Wednesday of each month, which include illustrated talks by experienced underwater photographers and a monthly competition. Please join us.

BSoUP organises an annual Splash-in underwater photographic competition. This year's event, the second British Splash-in Championship, takes place on 12 July 2008 at the The Mount Batten Centre and the National Aquarium, Plymouth, Devon. The Prints competition category is now closed. Deadline for Splash-in Registration is Wednesday 2 July 2008 if you require to a buffet meal or Friday 11 July if you do not require a buffet meal.

BSoUP publishes the magazine in focus and provides advice and information on all aspects of underwater photography - digital and film.

BSoUP has its own Members Forum for the exchange of ideas and information about underwater photography.
